OBI unites the transactional world with the operational world, allowing companies to link business processes to analytics and vice versa.


Business intelligence (BI) software has existed for more than two decades. It mainly supports executive decision makers and a subset of strategic analysts. Traditional BI solutions have usually not been available to line-of-business managers and frontline employees or to external stakeholders like suppliers or customers.
